If you would like to experience a Gaelic Football match, then there is a big final happening this Sunday, November 30th, at 15:30.

My home team of Donoughmore are playing in the Cork County Football Final 2025 for the first time since 1983, so I wanted to share the big occasion with you all.

Gaelic Football – A Quick Guide

• Team Sport: 15 players per side.
• Field & Goals: Large pitch with H-shaped posts.
• The Ball: Round, played with hands and feet.
• Movement: Max 4 steps before a solo (kick to self) or hand-pass.
• Scoring:
  • Over the bar = 1 point
  • Into the net = 3 points
  • 2 points: For a kick scored from outside the D (arch) during open play or from a free
• Game Length: 60–70 minutes, two halves.
