Viaje a: Parque de Vida Silvestre Fota y Cobh Town

Please sign up and pay at reception before Thursday 2pm.

This Saturday we’ll take a trip to Fota Wildlife Park and Cobh Town.

In Fota we can see the Free-Roaming Species including ring-tailed lemurs, wallabies, and kangaroos that can cross paths directly with guests.

Asian Sanctuary: Houses prominent endangered species such as Sumatran tigers, Asian lions, and Indian rhinos.

Cheetah Run: Features a specialized high-speed feeding apparatus where cheetahs can run at full speed.

In Cobh we will visit the cathedral, and the Titanic Museum.

The construction of Saint Coleman’s Cathedral began in 1868 and was completed in 1919. It is the tallest church in Ireland and the tower contains a carillon which, with 49 bells, is one of the largest in Europe.

Titanic Experience Cobh is located in Casement Square in the heart of Cobh Town. The museum building is the original White Star Line Ticket Office (where people bought their tickets for the Titanic and boarded the boats that took them directly to the Titanic), a building steeped in history dating back to the early 19th century and the departure point for many thousands of White Star Line passengers. We will hear the story of those 123 passengers that boarded the Titanic in Cobh.

Cobh was the last port of call for the Titanic before its tragic sinking on the way to America.
